Our lives are made up of small moments in time. We remember those that have an impact on us – that stay with us. This is one of mine. My husband and I had a private ceremony at New York’s City Hall a week before our wedding. Afterward, we crossed the sunny street to the “Wedding Garden” where we stood under the insanely green trees and smiled and laughed. When I remember this moment, I remember my grandmother’s necklace, the sparkling city and an overwhelming feeling of belonging. Our witnesses, two beloved friends, produced the makings for a mimosa toast out of their bag. It will forever be a frozen moment of happiness in my mind. What small moments will you forever cherish?
