As I opened the trunk to get the scraper the wet snow creeped into my leather gloves. Ew. It was as I closed the trunk that I noticed the man scraping the car next to me. He had his coat collar turned up to protect his neck. He was brushing the wet snow off of his windshield roughly when he glanced over and saw me throw my bags into the back seat.
“Do you need to borrow my scraper?”
I turned to look at him. “That’s so nice – but no, I’m all set.”
“Okay, drive safe.”
He got in his car and drove away. There are good people in the world.
